Twist Interiors

At a time when the popularity of the iPhone and iPad was just starting to drive animated Flash websites the way of the Wooly Mammoth, Twist Interiors decided that they needed to migrate their website to a HTML5/Javascript powered site, yet they still wanted a full-page graphic-centric experience for the user.

This site was created using jQuery and Ajax. The site lives essentially on one page, with navigation clicks updating the browser’s history state to updating the URL in the address bar. Rather than using a Rest API to pull in site information, I decided to create PHP“snippets” of pages, and the content into the page using Ajax. A password protected CMS allows an administrator to make updates to the site content.
