I worked with the talented team at Supervox Agency to create this large-scale website for AVI Systems. AVI Systems needed an update website that gave them a sophisticated online presence and showed off their technical capabilities. In addition to building the website, we also partnered with HubSpot, a marketing automation software tool, which we used to send branded email messages to subscribers, create content specific landing pages and to integrate custom forms throughout the site to learn more about AVI’s customers.

The designers provided me with layered Photoshop files and I converted them into a feature-rich WordPress theme. In order to maximize the experience for users on different devices, a responsive layout was used along with some mobile functionality to allow users to touch and swipe when the viewport called for it. Our branded emails were built using responsive layouts that were backward compatible with even the most ancient mail readers.

Within the WordPress framework, large graphics, many plug-ins and and HTML5 videos presented a unique issue with load times for users, so a number of solutions including responsive-first loading and page caching was used to keep page loads fast. Page caching and a content delivery network sped the site up considerably.
